Digital Archiving Policy

Prolog

To ensure the long-term preservation, accessibility, and discoverability of its scholarly content, the International Journal of Health Concord (IHC) employs multiple digital archiving and metadata harvesting systems. These initiatives help secure the journal’s content against loss and support global dissemination through indexing and library repositories.

1. PKP PN, LOCKSS, and CLOCKSS

The IHC utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), LOCKSS, and CLOCKSS systems to create a distributed digital archiving network among participating libraries. These systems allow libraries to maintain permanent archives of the journal, ensuring content preservation, restoration, and long-term accessibility.

2. Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH)

This journal supports the OAI Metadata Harvesting Protocol (OAI-PMH v2.0), enabling repositories and aggregators to automatically harvest metadata for indexing and archiving purposes.
